Participants for the entire duration of the Festival, 3 – 17 June 2017, will receive full instructional scholarships. There is a $400 Housing fee (which includes a meal ticket) and a $100 Administration/Music fee, once accepted into the program. Apprentices choosing not to participate in the entire Festival may attend for a $1750 tuition fee.
Apprentice applications are evaluated solely on merit. Personal information on this form is for administrative purposes only. Application materials become the property of the Hot Springs Music Festival and will not be returned. The application fee is $60 for conductors and $50 for instrumentalists and arts administrators.
Application deadline is Monday, March 20, 2017. String and other applications may be accepted beyond the deadline as necessary. Information about class closures and deadline extensions will be posted here.
Participants must arrive in time for the 5 pm orientation meeting on Saturday, June 3rd and remain until the conclusion of the final concert on June 17th (arts administrators arrive by May 30th).
Apprentices are responsible for their own transportation and meals, if you choose not to utilize the meal ticket. Many Hot Springs restaurants–within walking distance–will have musician-friendly menus available, and Festival volunteers will provide assorted meals.
